The Board of Trustees recognizes annually staff who have served five years or more with Mountain View School Division. This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we were unable to gather together to celebrate our colleagues' accomplishments. Their years of service with MVSD and dedication to the students we serve is very much appreciated! Click on the link to read more!

On March 24, Manitoba public health officials informed Winnipegosis Collegiate of at least one confirmed case of COVID-19 in the school on March 22. For further details, please click on the link. As an update to our announcement on Mar. 22nd, please click on the link to view the letter from Public Health regarding confirmation of at least one COVID-19 case at Winnipegosis Collegiate. WCI will be open tomorrow, Mar. 24th.

On March 22, a member of the school community at Winnipegosis Collegiate informed the school that they have tested positive for COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution, WCI will be closed Tuesday, March 23. More information will be provided as it becomes available from Public Health. Courses will be offered remotely where possible. Grad pictures have now been rescheduled for Monday, March 22nd. Sitting fee is $20. Also no shirt and tie will be provided for the boy's pictures this year. If you want to wear a shirt and tie under your gown, you are allowed to bring your own.

(To unsubscribe, find a text message from the division and reply STOP.) Cancellations will continue to be posted on the MVSD website and announced via radio.

Join us for the MVSD Virtual Public Budget Forum on Monday, March 1st at 7:00 PM via Zoom! Click on the above link to access the Zoom meeting and for an overview of MVSD revenues and expenditures, along with the Draft Budget Summary. This information will be reviewed in greater detail during the forum.

Please note that effective January 29, 2021, provincial public health orders will be amended to specify that anyone entering Manitoba from anywhere in Canada will be required to self-isolate for 14 days. Congratulations to Sawyer Elliott from Grandview School, who has been nominated by the MVSD Board of Trustees to be considered for the 2021 Manitoba School Boards Association (MSBA) Student Citizenship Award. Sawyer was one of several students in MVSD who submitted applications for nomination, and we are proud to acknowledge these students' contributions to their communities and schools.
